Welcome to Starr King’s Online Education Center

I’m Cathleen Young, Starr King’s online education director. My job is to make it as easy as possible for you to find the right class, register for it, and get the most from your class experience. We have a fabulous array of course offerings, taught by exceptional scholars and ministers.

Registration for Fall 2010 courses spans April 12-23. Fall classes begin September 7, 2010.

Anyone can apply to take Starr King’s online courses. We welcome current degree-seeking students as well as those who are simply interested in the content of a particular class. If you are in the latter category and decide down the road to seek a degree, you can, in most cases, apply the online credits you earn toward your seminary degree.

Technologically speaking, all you need is a computer with internet access and some basic software – an internet browser, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and audio/video player (for some classes). We’ll introduce you to Moodle, the web-based course management system we use, and you’ll be ready to roll.
