Who Can Register for an Online Course
Anyone may apply to take Starr King’s online courses. Current on-site students are welcome, as are students who may seek a degree from Starr King in the future. We also welcome non-degree-seekers.
Taking online classes is a good way to introduce oneself to seminary education. If you decide later to attend Starr King, credits you earn now online may be used toward the degree. Our current guidelines allow students to apply toward their degree up to 60 credits earned online or through field work. (Since an M.Div. requires 90 credits, up to two-thirds of the degree can be earned away from the school.) In addition, in most cases, fees paid for up to six online courses will transfer towards the completion of a degree program.
Starr King classes must be taken for credit and are not available for auditing.
